CH2M HILL Companies, Ltd. (CH2M HILL) was established in 1974 to encompass the firm's growing services offered through its subsidiary companies. Selected CH2M HILL companies are identified below. Note that this is not a comprehensive list.

  • CH2M HILL Inc., a U.S. company providing complete program management, planning, engineering design, technology, construction, financing and project development services to private industry and public sector clients. INC. includes three business groups that focus on client needs. These are: Energy, Environment & Systems; Water; and Transportation.

  • CH2M HILL Canada Limited, the Canadian division of CH2M HILL Companies. The firm was formed through the merger of CH2M HILL Engineering Limited and Gore & Storrie Limited, which was a 75-year-old Canadian company with a strong history of success across Canada.
    CH2M HILL Canada offers unique solutions for sustainable development and is a diversified, full-service provider encompassing three business groups: Energy, Environment & Systems; Water; and Transportation.

  • CH2M HILL Capital Services Inc. (CAPCO), a company helping our clients finance public and private infrastructure projects. As an important component of the full-service CH2M HILL organization, CAPCO leverages the capabilities of the firm to the benefit of customers seeking innovative solutions to finance-driven development of new infrastructure.

  • CH2M HILL Constructors, Inc. (CCI), a construction services company formed in 1997 when
    CH2M HILL consolidated its construction operations into a new U.S. company.

  • CH2M HILL Hanford Group, Inc., the U.S. Department of Energy Office of River Protection prime contractor with the responsibility for storing, retrieving and treating approximately 53 million gallons of highly radioactive and hazardous waste. The waste, stored in 177 huge underground tanks at the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington, will be vitrified into glass logs in a treatment plant to be built on the Hanford site. This company, which joined the CH2M HILL family in 2000, is also responsible for storage of the treated waste until permanent disposal facilities are available.

  • CH2M HILL International, Ltd. (CHIL), a company providing complete program management, design, technology, construction, financing and project development services outside North America. CH2M HILL established CHIL in 1990.

  • CH2M-IDC China combines the strengths of CH2M HILL Limited and Industrial Design & Construction, Inc. (IDC) to respond to China’s diverse environmental and industrial needs.
    CH2M HILL (China) Limited was established in Hong Kong in 1988 and employs more than 30 staff. Since its founding in 1985, IDC has offered total solutions to help give world-class manufacturing companies a competitive edge by building manufacturing plants in numerous locations throughout China. As an integrated team, CH2M-IDC China provides full-service capabilities, innovative yet proven approaches, appropriate technologies to meet our customers' objectives and substantial financial strength.

  • Kaiser-Hill Company, L.L.C., a joint venture of Kaiser Group International and CH2M HILL, became the first integrating management contractor in the DOE complex when it assumed management of the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site on July 1, 1995. Located near Denver, Rocky Flats once stored more than 14 tons of plutonium-more than any other DOE manufacturing facility. The site restoration project will see the removal of more than 21 tons of special nuclear material; more than 700 facilities will be deactivated, decommissioned, decontaminated, and demolished; more than 200,000 cubic meters of radioactive waste will be generated and disposed; and more than 130 environmentally contaminated sites will be cleaned up. Kaiser-Hill's innovative and ambitious plans will result in the job being completed by December 2006, shaving nearly 60 years and $30 billion off original projections. Ironically, the dedicated workers at Rocky Flats are proudly working themselves out of jobs.

  • Operations Management International (OMI), an operations and maintenance (O&M) firm providing water, wastewater, and electrical and other utility services to private and public sector clients. OMI provides full contract O&M services, frequently using existing staff whether unionized labor or not, and is responsible for overall system performance. CH2M HILL established OMI in 1980.

  • Paragon Structural Design, Inc., an award-winning structural engineering firm, which has served the architectural community since 1963 by providing complete design and construction administration services. The firm was purchased in 1994 by IDC. Paragon functions as a fully independent entity with all management, accounting, human resources, and technical aspects of work handled within the firm.
