Hanford Group, Inc., the U.S. Department of Energy Office of River
Protection prime contractor with the responsibility for storing, retrieving
and treating approximately 53 million gallons of highly radioactive
and hazardous waste. The waste, stored in 177 huge underground tanks
at the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington, will be vitrified
into glass logs in a treatment plant to be built on the Hanford site.
This company, which joined the CH2M HILL family in 2000, is also responsible
for storage of the treated waste until permanent disposal facilities
are available.

services outside North America. CH2M HILL established CHIL in 1990.

CH2M HILL (China) Limited was established in Hong Kong in 1988 and

capabilities, innovative yet proven approaches, appropriate technologies

Kaiser-Hill
Company, L.L.C., a joint venture of Kaiser Group International and
CH2M HILL, became the first integrating management contractor in the
DOE complex when it assumed management of the Rocky Flats Environmental
Technology Site on July 1, 1995. Located near Denver, Rocky Flats
once stored more than 14 tons of plutonium-more than any other DOE
manufacturing facility. The site restoration project will see the
removal of more than 21 tons of special nuclear material; more than
700 facilities will be deactivated, decommissioned, decontaminated,
and demolished; more than 200,000 cubic meters of radioactive waste
will be generated and disposed; and more than 130 environmentally
contaminated sites will be cleaned up. Kaiser-Hill's innovative and
ambitious plans will result in the job being completed by December
2006, shaving nearly 60 years and $30 billion off original projections.
Ironically, the dedicated workers at Rocky Flats are proudly working
themselves out of jobs.

Operations
Management International (OMI), an operations and maintenance (O&M)
firm providing water, wastewater, and electrical and other utility
services to private and public sector clients. OMI provides full contract
O&M services, frequently using existing staff whether unionized
labor or not, and is responsible for overall system performance. CH2M
HILL established OMI in 1980.

Paragon
Structural Design, Inc., an award-winning structural engineering firm,
which has served the architectural community since 1963 by providing
complete design and construction administration services. The firm
was purchased in 1994 by IDC. Paragon functions as a fully independent
entity with all management, accounting, human resources, and technical
aspects of work handled within the firm.
